40 Years of Allport

In 1963, John Clayton and Will Toye shared a vision to create a company whose staff possessed the same passion and commitment that they felt for the business.

Today their story is one of the successes of the UK forwarding industry.

Together with early recruits Danny Toye and Derek Davis, Will and John quickly established Allport as a significant air and sea freight forwarder.

In the decades that followed, Allport has maintained consistent growth in personnel, resources and revenue.

In their 2009 market report Key Note identified Allport as the UK's leading independent freight forwarder.

Under the leadership of Derek Davis as Managing Director and Danny Toye as Deputy Managing Director, Allport continues to perform strongly, providing value to its customers and a rewarding workplace for employees. The company has recently been included in the Sunday Times listings of "Most Profitable" and "Biggest" private companies.
