Allport win Jungheinrich contract

Designer and manufacturers of pallet Trucks, Stackers, Counterbalance Trucks, Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Very Narrow Aisle and Stacker Cranes, Jungheinrich are the UK's largest supplier of materials handling solutions, offering more than 600 truck variants.

Nightfreight, the overnight delivery specialist, in partnership with Allport's Overland division have been awarded a two year contract by Jungheinrich for the transport of all trucks from their German plants.

Because the Jungheinrich products are liable to stringent EC loading and stability regulations Allport Sittingbourne will maintain direct communication with the four German factories, to compute load plan calculations that optimise weight distribution and position the five thousand trailers that will be required each year for transport to the UK, Nightfreight will handle the domestic customer delivery.
