Allport launch brand in Pakistan

Recognised for its growing importance in the region, Pakistan has been trying to leverage its role by securing support for preferential access to US and European markets

Last month's meeting with a delegation, including Hilary Clinton, in Washington forms part of a consistent Pakistani campaign to secure trade agreements, or qualification for recognition under the generalised system of preferences. Either of which could have a profound impact on Pakistan's attractiveness to buyers in the UK.

Allport and their partners in Pakistan are putting the finishing touches to a new, integrated offering, which they believe will make things easier for UK business dealing with the region

David Ward, Allport commercial director, explains. "We have been active in the Pakistan market for nearly forty years, during which time we have established considerable air and sea freight volumes, with two different partners."

"After extensive consultation with our partners, Combined and Prime Ocean, we have agreed to integrate our sea and air freight operations in Pakistan under the Allport brand. This move will raise the profile of our operations, simplify the effectiveness of our services and aid the development of business with the UK and our wider network."

Pakistan follows 19 other countries in adopting the Allport livery.
