It is now highly likely that the Greek National Truckers Union will announce strike action, to commence on either the 23rd July or 23rd August 2010.

Protesting against the EU directed 'opening up' of their industry, drivers are likely to heed calls for action to last 10-12 days and - to maximise impact - the Union are expected to impose blockades on strategic national road locations, port entrances, and airports.

We are recommending to customers that trade with Greece to schedule shipments in the weeks leading up to and after the forecast strike action dates.
