Australia win gold with Allport

IWSC awards are the most prestigious honours awarded in the wine and spirits trade, representing the world's best of the best. Allport are proud to sponsor the Australian Wine Producer award for 2009.

Founded in 1969 The International Wine and Spirit Competition is backed by the most influential men and women in the trade, including Baroness Philippine de Rothschild because, through it's rigorous 'blind tasting' and technical analysis, it sets the international benchmark for quality.

It is the premier competition of its kind in the world, with more than 7,000 entries from 80 countries in 2008.

Announced and presented at the IWSC Awards Presentation & Banquet on 26th November the Australian Wine Producer award winner automatically goes forward for the International Winemaker of the Year.
