Allport have been developing systems since 1974. Initially focus was on our own administrative requirements, but in 1992 our programmers began developing systems that helped our customers to manage their supply chains.
Because supply chains operate 24/365 security and resilience are a significant factor in our systems planning.
We have comprehensive disaster recovery contingencies, including automatic UPS, specially equipped vehicles to provide clean three-phase electrical supplies and fast network connections on-site and, under disaster recovery contract, there are fully kitted remote sites in London.
Applications run on VMS servers in a clustered environment. Disks are software shadowed and hardware mirrored and use raid technology for even greater resilience. Citrix servers are utilised to provide a high level of fault hardiness.
"Allport have been our logistics provider for more than 15 years. Their service has always been personable and professional, whilst their IT solutions deliver continual development and innovation." Michael Church - Import Supply Chain Controller, Redcats UK.
